Hans-Werner Düpree founds ELCO-Kunststoffe A. ELGES & Co. KG.

1962

ELCO begins production of kitchen receptacles made of plastic

1964

Through the development of the first full-plastic drawer, ELCO becomes one of the worldwide leaders in the segment.

1969

The product range is enhanced with “technical components”.

1971

Extrusion becomes and important part of the production spectrum.

1974

ELCO develops the ever-popular and worldwide patented variable drawer system Superklick.

1977

The injection moulded drawer system TOP 2000 is an instant success.

1989

After eight years of worktop production, the PU high-pressure manufacturing process is replaced by the more efficient PU low-pressure process.

1991

Wolfgang Düpree joins the company.

1993

Development of the bathroom drawer TOP 3000

1994

Vacuum forming (deep-draw) is introduced as a new production method.

1995

The new Logistic/Warehouse Centre is completed.

1995

ELCO gets the certificate DIN EN ISO 9001.

1996

ELCO is awarded the Quality Prize North-Rhine Westphalia for especially innovative solutions in quality assurance management.

1997

The Technical Component Department is expanded and successfully placed on the market.

1999

Re-naming as ELCO KUNSTSTOFFE GmbH. Wolfgang Düpree becomes sole CEO.

2000

Unit assembly and thus complete development from design through to series production becomes part of the ELCO service spectrum.

2001

Wolfgang Düpree becomes sole associate.

2005

For the oven plinth drawer system TopVolume², ELCO is awarded the coveted reddot design award.

2006

ELCO has become a worldwide reliable solutions finder in plastics.
